I have been a professional cosmetologist for 30-plus years and received my Instructor licenses in Compton, California. About fifteen years ago I started creating hair care products for my personal use. Eventually, some of my clients, family, and friends began using them. At the same time, my son’s Eczema skin disorder flared up and I started creating natural products to care for his skin. Years of working in cosmetology resulted in physical challenges, leaving me unable to walk or stand which prevented me from being able to get out and take care of my personal needs. Many of my clients had special needs as well and they could not get out to purchase the products they needed. Finding myself in a similar situation, I felt the need to be that bridge for them; to provide quality natural hair care, grooming, and skincare products directly to them. I started Beautiful Roots and began shipping products to my clients. My business was born out of love and empathy for other people with physical disabilities.
